In today’s article, I am going to reveal something that no one talks about.

See, I am going to tell you the secret of fear.

But first, let me tell you how I got here.

Before I understood how fear really worked, I thought I had a TON of things wrong with me, like…

Control issues: “I have to take over or nothing gets done”

Procrastination: “Better late than never”

Perfectionism: “No, I will do that (as I grab back what I just delegated)”

Loneliness: “I am not lonely (as I protest with a scotch in my hand).”

Comparing: “She’s no better than me. Oh, wait, she is better than me.”

Envy: “Why did she get that guy/job/whatever, and not me?”

Feeling left behind: “I should be further along by now. What’s my problem?”

Have you ever felt that way?

I would ask myself: How am I ever going to live the life my soul intended with all these PROBLEMS?

I was determined to FIX myself!

I would run from one workshop to the next, read one book after another and hop from therapist to therapist trying to find the solution to my control issue and then my envy issue, and then…you get the picture.

All of those books and workshops and sessions were good and juicy and wonderful EXCEPT…they didn’t change my life because none of what I learned taught me how fear really worked.

So time and time again, I thought I would be making progress and then…POW! Fear would trip me up. Trick me. Fool me.

I would get stopped, sidetracked, unable to change something…AGAIN!

(Have you ever said those words?)

Those words used to me a daily mantra for me but no more. Because I have figured out the one SECRET that nobody tells you.

You have ONE Core Fear!

Yep, Only One!

And that ONE CORE Fear produces many symptoms. In fact, there are thousands of symptoms of fear.

Let’s say your CORE FEAR is a deep down fear that you are worthless.

That fear of being worthless causes you to doubt your ability to make your dreams happen and tells you to waste precious time deciding over and over again about the same thing because you want it to be perfect and then it convinces you to stall and wait and, sometimes, even give up.

See, all of those SYMPTOMS come from a FEAR and that fear activates those symptoms.

So what if you have been able to solve one of your symptoms? What if you have quit procrastinating? Does that mean you don’t have that fear anymore?

Nope. Because that fear is going to produce ANOTHER symptom to pop up eventually. Just like a flower or a tree. You cut down one branch, one blossom, and another one just pops up in it’s place.

THAT’s How Fear Works. That’s what nobody tells you.
